Stargazing evening
Description
In the company of experienced astronomers, one-night observers or enthusiasts can watch the sun, stars and planets on the beautiful terrace in Isenau.
For one evening, take advantage of the AstroChablais astronomers' advice to observe the Diablerets sky from the Terrasse d'Isenau. After an easy 30 minute walk (about 2km), you will reach the very pretty Terrasse d'Isenau which will welcome you for this evening of observation. You will start by admiring the sun. While waiting for the starry sky to appear, you will enjoy an animation proposed by AstroChablais on the sky of our mountains while tasting an aperitif composed of local products. The evening will continue with an observation of the stars and planets which will allow you to familiarise yourself with our starry sky.
Practical Information
- Meeting point at Lake Retaud at 8pm on 19.07 and 7.30pm on 19.08 or directly on the Isenau Terrace at 8.30pm on 19.07 and 8pm on 19.08 (access on foot only) - Please bring warm clothes (the activity takes place outside, at altitude) and good shoes to access Isenau - Registration required until the day before at the Diablerets Tourist Office - Evening subject to weather conditions - Supervision by the AstroChablais team - Headlamp recommended for the return journey
