Saint-Antoine

Description

In the past, the feast of Saint-Antoine has been held for centuries in Rougemont in mid-January. Come and celebrate this traditional feast during a day full of festivities !

The feast of Saint-Antoine dates back to some years ago... At that time, the farmers went to the Hôtel de Commune to pay their dues (renting of animals, chalets and land). They took advantage of this day to share their feelings about the past season and to have a good time among the inhabitants of the village and the region. Rougemont lies in the shadow of the Rübli during the months of November and December, when the days are shortest in the year. On the feast of Saint-Antoine, 17 January, the sun shines again on the village, more precisely on the porch of the town hall at the stroke of noon. An event that has given rise to festivities for several centuries. Spend a convivial day mixing local traditions and discoveries !
