Leysin hosts the Chablais Astronomy Festival. A magical moment to contemplate the celestial vault or simply with the naked eye. Discover below our programme of activities to have stars in your eyes. Detailed programme of the day : - 2pm-5pm: Telescopes, sun observation - free - no reservation required - 2pm-3.30pm: Rocket workshops, building and launching your own water rocket - 7pm: Lecture by Professor André Maeder (UNIGE) - A journey into the universe - 8pm: Special meal on reservation at the revolving restaurant Kuklos - paying meal (see prices below) - From 10pm: Observation of the night sky with Astrochablais - free - no reservation required - From 10pm: Free outdoor space (not supervised) to observe shooting stars - free - no reservation required - All day: presentation of distance scales in the Universe - free - no reservation required In case of bad weather, the activities (workshops, conferences, documentaries) will be maintained at the Parish House in the village of Leysin. In case of doubt, please contact the organiser.

All-inclusive package bookable online: - Cable cars + workshops + conference + meal: Adult CHF 42.00 - child CHF 25.00 If you do not want the full package, you can : - For the "rocket workshop" and the "lecture by Professor André Maeder (UNIGE)", book your place with the organiser Cyril Zoller, cyril@eijo.ch - free activities - To eat at the Kuklos, book your table directly with the establishment, +41 (0) 24 494 31 41 or kuklos@tlml.ch Meals at the Kuklos (on reservation): - Adult: Fondue CHF 22.00 per person - Children (6 to 15 years old): Fries, nuggets or pasta with tomato sauce CHF 12.00 Ski lifts - From 5.30 p.m. onwards, special prices for the Night of the Shooting Stars, round trip: 15.00 adults / 10.00 children 6-15 years / 0.00 children 0-6 years - Ascent and descent in gondolas, normal traffic until 8pm - Attention, cabins stop from 8pm to 10pm - From 10pm to 1am, train of 6 cabins (every 20 minutes or so) - descent only - Magic Passes and season tickets remain valid at all times
