Introduction to curling and Eisstock at the Villars ice rink
Description
To enable everyone to discover and familiarise themselves with these 2 sports, the Sports Centre is offering 20-minute sessions.
The Villars ice rink offers you discovery sessions in the following sports: Curling or Eisstock. Curling is a precision sport similar to pétanque, with cut and polished granite stones that have to be placed as close as possible to the target drawn at the other end of the ice. Eisstock or petanque on ice is a mix of curling and petanque. Using discs (Eisstöcke) with a thirty-centimetre handle, the aim is to throw them as close as possible to a rubber puck. After a short introduction to the game of your choice, you can try your hand at the Villars ice rink.
