Gran Fondo Switzerland UCI - Villars

The first UCI Gran Fondo Suisse will take place on 17th and 18th June 2023 in Villars-sur-Ollon.
The UCI Gran Fondo Switzerland is composed of a time trial on Saturday and a road race on a magnificent course on Sunday. Starting from the UCI in Aigle, the long distance race goes through the Col de la Croix (1'776m), the Col du Pillon (1'546m) and the Col des Mosses (1'445m) to finish in Villars-sur-Ollon. With 122 km and 2317 meters of positive altitude difference on the whole course, the UCI Gran Fondo Suisse line race offers an ideal challenge for a cyclosportive. SATURDAY 17 JUNE - A time trial between Ollon and Villars-sur-Ollon. On a course of 11.5 km with 503m of difference in altitude, the participants will start from the charming village of Ollon and finish this time trial in Villars-sur-Ollon. SUNDAY 18 JUNE - A long distance race starting from the UCI in Aigle A magnificent course at the start of the Union International du Cyclisme that passes over the Col de la Croix (1'776m), the Col du Pillon (1'546m) and the Col des Mosses (1'445m) to end in Villars-sur-Ollon. The event is the only Swiss round of the UCI Gran Fondo World Series, a series of 30 UCI-approved races that are being held all around the world. The athletes who rank in the top 20% of their age category will qualify for the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships that will be held in Glasgow (Scottland). It will therefore be a chance for cyclists from Switzerland and neighbouring countries to qualify for the World Championships and to try to win the famous rainbow jersey.
