Traditional tasting of ash-roasted Vaudois sausages

This event is traditionally held on the last Sunday in July at the Refuge du Luissalet above La Barboleuse. From 11:00 am onwards, participants gather outside the refuge and take their aperitifs, accompanied by the sound of Alpine horns. They can watch how Vaudois sausages are cooked in the embers. At 12:30 pm, when the latter are ready, the buffet is opened and everybody can help themselves and eat at the sheltered tables. The conversations continue after lunch, depending on weather conditions and atmosphere.

Registration required at Maison du Tourisme in Gryon. Meals and aperitif provided. Cash bar on-site.
