Exhibition "The animals of Enhaut... rural and wild life"

Description

Like every summer, the Maison de l'Etambeau in Château-d'Œx opens its doors during the months of July and August for a temporary exhibition dedicated this year to the discovery of animals found near the farms and houses of the village.

This exhibition will allow you to discover the animals found near the farms and houses of the village of Château-d'Œx, to learn about their usefulness and to find out what they could bring to the people who looked after and raised them. Chickens, pigs, cows, goats: what did they produce? Why was there a mole keeper in the commune and what was his job? How to transform skins and furs so as not to waste anything? Photos, naturalized animals, cut-outs and paintings will explain the wildlife of the region. On site, a small 100% local shop offers you the opportunity to buy or taste products made by the region's craftsmen and producers!
