Télé-Villars-Gryon-Les Diablerets SA (TVGD) is located in the heart of the Alpes Vaudoises, in a lively, rich and unspoilt environment. As a major player in the region, we are aware of our environmental and social impacts and responsibilities.

For several years now, we have been committed to promoting environmentally-friendly solutions, particularly in the areas of energy, mobility and natural resources, while continuing to develop our activities in a responsible manner.

Water, air, electricity And expertise

By analysing the terrain, weather conditions and visitor numbers, we can assess the snow production required for each sector, so that we can offer our customers safe, high-quality slopes while optimising our water and energy consumption. No additives are added during snow production: we only use water, air and electricity during cold periods. 1m3 of water produces around 2m3 of snow.

Perfect slopes On-board technology

Our 11 groomers are equipped with on-board GPS to optimise grooming. The SnowSat system, which measures snow depth, makes it easier to groom the slopes and produce just the right amount of snow, so we can offer our customers quality slopes while protecting the environment.

Carbon footprint Hybrid groomer

Grooming represents around 85% of a ski area's carbon footprint in terms of scopes 1 and 2, excluding visitor travel (Average value, study carried out for one day's skiing - Source: Guide sectoriel Utopies / Ademe - 2022). Since December 2023, we have had 3 hybrid snow groomers out of a fleet of 11 machines. These hybrid machines reduce fuel consumption by up to 20% compared with a combustion machine. Direct CO2 emissions are also reduced by 20%.
