Cross-country skiing with panorama - Villars

Cross-country skiing, the ancestor of winter sports, has been gaining in popularity for several years now, thanks to its accessible, natural, and relaxing character. The Vaud Alps and their varied terrain offer more than 100 km of cross-country ski trails.

Most cross-country ski trails are set in two styles: classic (in parallel tracks) or skating (on the groomed track).

Classic cross-country skiing (or not alternative) is accessible to beginners. With a longer pair of skis, prepared so that you don't go backwards with each step, you quickly find the right rhythm to make the ski slide, coordinating your legs and arms.

Skating cross-country skiing (or skating step) requires a little more balance to find the right glide on shorter skis. The impulse is given by your legs in this more sportive version of cross-country skiing.

To get started, don't hesitate to take a lesson with our instructors available in the various ski schools of the region.

Cross-country ski rentals are also available in most of our sports shops to provide you with the best equipment.

Enjoy a variety of classic and skating routes with beautiful forest passages, followed by more technical descents that will help you master your skis.

Cross-country skiing and rifle = biathlon!

Try this exciting discipline which requires endurance and concentration, two of the essential qualities of great champions!

Thanks to laser rifles, you can try this sport in complete safety.
