We tested the gourmet hike at the Col des Mosses for you: an experience where every stage is savored as much with the eyes as with the taste buds. On the menu:
We take you with us !
Starting from the col parking lot, we head towards the Pra Cornet plateau. The path winds through meadows and open landscapes, already offering superb viewpoints.
After about an hour of walking, the first stop is at the Charmilles kiosk. The welcome is warm, and the atmosphere is convivial. On the table: a plate of local cold cheeses and meats, accompanied by a glass of wine for adults (or a syrup for the younger ones).
We take the time to admire the mountains and savor this first gastronomic moment before starting the second stage.

We leave Pra Cornet for a steeper climb. After an hour of effort, the scenery changes when we arrive at Lac Lioson. We understand why it is nicknamed "the pearl of the alpine lakes." It truly deserves its nickname.
The lakeside restaurant welcomes us for the main course. The menu features several Swiss specialties to choose from: cordon bleu with fries, ham on the bone, cheese crust, fondue, or the daily menu. Seated on the terrace in the sun, we savor both the plate and the panorama. A small luxury after the meal: dipping our feet in the cool lake water. Revitalizing and almost necessary before setting off again.

The final stage heads towards La Buvette des Petits Lacs. A walk of about 30 minutes gets us there, with energy regained after this well-deserved meal. Upon arrival, two peaceful little lakes reveal themselves just steps from the kiosk.
On the table, a homemade seasonal fruit tart awaits us. Simple, authentic, and delicious. The perfect conclusion to this gastronomic adventure.

The return to the col is made with a smile, a full stomach, and pleasantly tired legs. This gastronomic hike is much more than a simple walk: it is an immersion in local flavors and the landscapes of the Vaudois Alps, where every stage becomes a moment in its own right.
An experience we recommend without hesitation.
