From February to the end of April, ski touring enthusiasts can take an early morning cable car up to Glacier 3000. This promises a day of sport at high altitude, allowing them to make the most of the variety of routes and the good conditions in the morning.
The special cabins depart from Col du Pillon at 8:10 a.m., before opening to the general public, from Friday to Monday. They only operate in favourable weather conditions (good weather) and are limited to 80 people, with priority given to mountain guides and their clients. The aim? To offer ski tourers the opportunity to enjoy the good morning conditions on the various routes on the glacier and, for the more experienced, to have enough time to tackle the Haute Route Bernoise.
For safety reasons, each participant must provide their name, telephone number and destination. Upon arrival at Scex Rouge, the resort is still closed: access to restaurants, toilets and the Peak Walk by Tissot is unavailable. Participants are asked to wait in front of the shop stairs, where patrollers will meet them and take charge of them. The journey to the Audon gate will then be made under their supervision. Neither the chairlifts nor the ski lifts can be used before their official opening, nor can any other ski lifts.
Please note that if the resort opens early to the public, scheduled for 8:30 a.m., the special 8:10 a.m. cable cars will not run.
