The Alpes Vaudoises are easy to explore by public transport. Thanks to attractive offers and excellent rail and road connections, you can reach the resorts without a car and enjoy your day with complete peace of mind.
By extending your stay until the end of the day, you can avoid the hassle of travelling back with heavy luggage and discover another side to these destinations, with night skiing, wellness and cultural activities.
Come without a car, simply
From Monday 26 January to 30 March 2026, travel on public transport at reduced prices throughout the canton of Vaud on weekends and public holidays:
- CHF 19 for Mobilis subscribers
- CHF 39 for non-subscribers
Skiers from Geneva, leave your car in town with this combined offer starting at CHF 69, including:
- Geneva to Les Diablerets by bus
- A ski pass
Reach your favourite ski resort in no time thanks to direct trains from Geneva Airport or Fribourg to the foot of the Alpes Vaudoises
- Two pairs on Saturdays and Sundays, as well as public holidays
- In summer, between June and September
- Connections in Aigle for Leysin, Villars and Les Diablerets
These additional trains are available in the TPC and SBB mobile apps.
Magic Pass holders are encouraged to leave their cars at home, thanks to the Magic Travel offer:
- 30% discount on public transport tickets (2nd class) to selected Magic Pass resorts.
- Get your discount code on the Magic Pass website and use it to purchase a ticket to the partner resort via SBB channels (sbb.ch, SBB ticket offices or Contact Centre).
Enhanced transport services during peak periods
This winter, access to stations by public transport has been made easier thanks to improvements in transport services and station accessibility.
- On the RER Vaud lines, passengers benefit from more space thanks to double-decker trains.
- Lines R1 and R2 (Grandson–Yverdon-les-Bains–Lausanne–Cully) now run as far as Bex.
- During the high season, the frequency is doubled for the bus Aigle - Villars-sur-Ollon line 144.
- Finally, some ski lift stations/stations provide ski lockers to make your travels more convenient.
- During the high season, two additional trains run on the Aigle-Les Diablerets line at weekends.
Ski smart
Tips and great deals for skiing at the best times:
- Enjoy a quiet morning and hit the slopes later. Discounted rates when arriving after 12 noon in Leysin-Les Mosses-La Lécherette and Villars-Gryon-les Diablerets
- What could be better than night skiing to enjoy the slopes in complete tranquillity: in Les Diablerets on Thursdays and in La Forclaz on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays
- In Villars, choose exclusivity and treat yourself to the first tracks of the morning at Grand Chamossaire with the First Tracks experience
Extend your weekend and avoid busy journeys home
On Sunday evenings, roads and public transport are often very busy. By choosing to stay longer and enjoy an evening in the Alpes Vaudoises, you can extend your weekend in a pleasant way while ensuring a smoother journey home.
