Work on the Barboleuse bridge (RC179)
Since mid-December 2025, road traffic has been reopened in both directions and will remain so until mid-March 2026.
From mid-March to November 2026, the BVB will no longer run between Bex and Villars-sur-Ollon to allow work on the railway line to take place. During this period, replacement buses will provide public transport between the two stations in Vaud.

Col de la Croix road
The Col de la Croix road will be closed to traffic for the winter season from Wednesday 19 November 2025 at 8:00 a.m.
By train
- Geneva SBB station: 2h05
- Lausanne SBB station : 1h20
- Montreux SBB station : 1h
- Martigny SBB station: 1h20
- Paris - Gare de Lyon: 5h20 via Lausanne (TGV Lyria)
Changing trains at Aigle or Bex:
- From Aigle station, link with Villars by bus (TPC)
- From Bex station, connection with Gryon and Villars by train (BVB)
By car
A motorway tax sticker (CHF 40.-) is compulsory (valid for 1 year). On sale at airports, customs offices, post offices and service stations. You can also choose the ‘e-vignette’ (digital sticker) on sale on the internet and link it to your number plate.
By plane
Buses and shuttles
- All year round, the Transports Publics du Chalais buses run between Villars and the main surrounding areas.
- The link between Villars and Gryon is provided all year round by the BVB train (Bex-Villars line).
- Shuttle buses run to Villars to make it easier for you to get around.
- The link between Villars and Gryon is provided all year round by the BVB train (Bex-Villars line).
For skiers, this transport is included in their ski pass (valid on the day of transport).
