At altitude. Take the cogwheel train from Villars to Bretaye, 1,800 m above sea level, where numerous trails lead to the emerald-colored Lac des Chavonnes, to the ridges between Grand Chamossaire and Petit Chamossaire, or to the green alpine pastures of the Col de la Croix.
