Newsletter subscription

By subscribing to our newsletter, you consent to us processing your email address (and possibly your name/first name if provided) to send you information about our activities, news and offers related to Alpes Vaudoises.

The processing is based on your explicit consent (art. 5 FADP; art. 6 GDPR). Registration uses a double opt-in procedure: you receive a confirmation email with a link to click to validate.

Audience measurement

When you subscribe to our newsletter, we use technologies to measure the performance of our campaigns, including email open rates and clicks on links contained within them. This data enables us to improve the content of our newsletters and better cater to our subscribers’ interests.
You may withdraw your consent to the tracking of email opens at any time whilst continuing to receive our newsletter. Withdrawing your consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out prior to this request.

Data transmission

We use Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) as our provider for sending the newsletter. Brevo acts as a processor and stores your data on servers located in the European Union (Google Cloud in Belgium and OVH in France/Germany), areas ensuring a level of protection equivalent to Switzerland.

No other transmission to third parties is carried out, except legal obligation.

Retention period

Data is kept as long as you remain subscribed. In case of unsubscription, it is deleted within 30 days, except for legal archives (max. 2 years for rights justification).

Your rights

In accordance with the Swiss FADP and GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access your data;
  • Rectify or delete (right to be forgotten);
  • Limit or object to processing;
  • Withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting prior lawfulness;
  • Receive your data in a structured format (portability);
  • File a complaint with the APDI of the Canton of Vaud (vd.ch/apdi) or the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (edoeb.admin.ch).
