La Carrière des Chamois

Located in the hills above Leysin, the Carrière des Chamois is both a convenient car park and an ideal starting point for numerous hikes. From this easily accessible location, several trails open up to you, leading to La Berneuse, Mayen and Prafandaz, inviting you to discover the alpine landscapes.

La Carrière des Chamois also offers a superb view of the Chablais plain and iconic peaks such as the Dents de Morcles and the Dents du Midi. This open, unobstructed space allows you to fully admire the horizon and appreciate the richness of the surrounding panorama.

There is also a small outdoor climbing site, offering several routes from 3b to 6a, with a maximum height of 20 metres. Although not the main attraction of the site, it is nevertheless a pleasant place to learn outdoor climbing.

With its easy access, breathtaking views and varied walking routes, the Carrière des Chamois remains a favourite spot for exploring Leysin and its surrounding hills.
