When Being Left-Handed Made All the Difference
Back then, salt was extracted by teams of two miners working side by side in narrow tunnels. Each miner used a hammer and chisel to carve into the rock. To prevent their movements from crossing and avoid accidents, the ideal team consisted of one right-handed and one left-handed miner.
