The Alpes Vaudoises provide a unique setting for Swiss viticulture. On steep, sun-drenched slopes, the vineyards stretch from the plains to the mountains, producing wines with a distinct character. Here, Chasselas, the emblematic grape variety of the canton of Vaud, plays a central role. It produces delicate, fresh and mineral white wines that faithfully reflect their terroir. Alongside this flagship grape variety, the winegrowers also cultivate varieties such as Pinot Noir, Gamay and the Swiss varieties Gamaret and Garanoir, which are used to produce fruity, supple and elegant red wines, often as blends.
