5-day trek from the Alpes Vaudoises

Escape the hustle and bustle of the city, cross majestic stone deserts and discover the bewitching silence of altitude as you cross two spectacular glaciers.

Departing from Gryon, you'll walk between 5 and 7 hours a day from 11 to 16 August, with unforgettable nights in a mountain hut as your reward. With your small group (4 to 6 people) led by Jean-Michel Koehler, you'll hike through varied mountain terrain at altitudes ranging from 1,200 metres to 3,244 metres, all along the Haute Route to Leukerbad. The picnics and snacks organised during the trek will give you the energy you need to complete this great physical and human challenge, which will end at the thermal baths in this valaisan resort.

Important : it is important that the rucksack does not exceed 8kg!

You will need the following equipment:

• rucksack, approx. 35 litres
• overbag or plastic bag inside the rucksack
• bottles/water bag min. 1.5 litres
• waterproof mountain boots with a good profile
• short/long clothes that dry quickly
• fleece jacket
• Gore-tex jacket
• waterproof trousers recommended
• cap, sunglasses, sun cream
• hat, gloves
• change of clothes
• silk/cotton cabin bag
• toiletries
• headlamp
• personal medicines (a first-aid kit is included)
• picnic lunch on day 1
• a re-sealable waterproof box (optional)
• a pair of small binoculars (optional)
