For hundreds of years, summer visitors have traditionally invited their friends, families and livestock owners to the Midsummer Festival.
The Taveyanne mountain pasture, with its authentic chalets and wooden roofs, hosts this bucolic festival every year on the first weekend in August. The poet Juste Olivier, cantor of the Pays de Vaud, immortalised this festival by composing the famous Mi-Eté song, which is sung by the participants in the Sunday festival before the picoulet dance.
