125 years of the Aigle-Leysin railway

Leysin invites you to celebrate an exceptional anniversary: 125 years of the Aigle–Leysin railway line! The Place du Feydey and the Kuklos will be buzzing with entertainment, exhibitions and concerts for young and old alike.

The programme runs continuously from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Exhibitions:

• Exhibition tracing 125 years of history of the Aigle–Leysin railway
• Screening of period images and videos
• Exhibitions of model railways by GARM at SHMS
• Exhibition of TPC road vehicles

Entertainment:

• Theatrical performances on trains from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., with actors dressed as they would have been in 1900, to relive the charm of the first tourists
• Shuttles between Feydey and the cable car to Kuklos
• Discover the Parc du Soleil at La Berneuse
• Raclette and grilled meats
• Bouncy castle and entertainment for children
• Leysin Youth Bar
• Various market stalls

Musical entertainment

• 10 a.m. – 11 a.m.: Crooners Street
• 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.: Aperitif concert by the Fanfare La Rose des Alpes de Leysin and a complimentary drink offered by the municipality
• 12 p.m. – 1 p.m.: Cromavox
• 1 p.m. – 2 p.m.: Crooners Street
• 2 p.m. – 3 p.m.: Cromavox
• 3 p.m. – 5 p.m.: Mama Jo

Crooners Street is a sparkling new duo that takes audiences on a journey through timeless French and English covers. In a different vein, Cromavox offers an unusual take on jazz, revisiting standards from the 1920s to the present day with originality. Finally, Mama Jo brings together three passionate musicians who set the stage alight with their energetic reinterpretations of the great classics of soul, rock and chanson.
